Wisconsin First Responder and Fire Union Advocacy

Kuhn Law is a proud and fierce advocate for public employee unions – specifically first responder fire unions.  Public employees are employees employed by state or federal government, including municipal employees, county employees, city employees and other such employees.  Public employee unions collectively bargain for the rights of organized public employees in terms of the wages, hours and working conditions of such employees.

Public Employee Union Rights

Public employee unions offer many of the same core services as private-sector unions, but with added attention to public-sector-specific laws, regulations, and bargaining structures, which differ significantly from those in the private sector.

Kuhn Law offers a wide variety of services to public sector employees belonging to a union and/or employees seeking to form or join a union.  These services include negotiating CBAs with public employers (e.g., cities, counties, school districts, state agencies), representing clients in grievance arbitration and other arbitrations, representing clients before the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission, ensuring legal compliance with applicable state and federal labor laws, state and federal court litigation, employment law counseling and other, related services.

If you are a member of a public employee union or are seeking to organize a group of public employees, contact the attorneys at Kuhn Law for assistance.
